A Flock of Seagulls started the night with a grand wall of acoustic sound, hitting the stage and rocking the entire stadium. Playing flawlessly and with verve, they had the crowd dancing in the aisles. Songs from all across their career were performed, guaranteeing a show to please old and new fans alike.
Shovels and Rope ended the show teaming up with A Flock of Seagulls for a few songs. The interplay between Cary and Michael was absolutely amazing, from their seamless harmonies to rocking rhythms. By the end of their set, you were convinced these two could make music out fishing line and two by fours. It was a magnificent performance.
This was one of the better concerts I have been to. The night started with Shovels and Rope, two people making a whole lot of racket. Really, I was dancing from the beginning to end.
